How Much Does YOUR Face Cost?

I first came across this tag on iluvjesse444's youtube channel a couple days ago and since then, I've seen it pop up on a couple other blogs too.  Basically, you total up the cost of your daily face - no skincare, just makeup.  It looked like fun and I wanted to see what mine would add up to.  I do switch up eye and lip products, but this is what's on my face on a given day.

1. Lucy Minerals Lucy Light Foundation in Light ($13.50)
Natural looking and the BEST coverage I've found from a mineral foundation.

2. Lucy Minerals Lucy Light Finishing Powder ($13.50)
Translucent powder that really helps your makeup last longer.

3. Silk Naturals Sleep in a Jar Under Eye Concealer in Light Peach ($6.50)
Peach-toned concealer.  Does a fantastic job covering any darkness or under eye circles.

4. Lucy Minerals Blush in Juicy Peach ($2.50 for try it size)
A nice soft peach blush - awesome if you're blush-shy like me!

5. Pollen Cosmetics Saddle Up Eye Shadow ($1.25 for sample size)
A gorgeous medium brown that blends out beautifully in the crease.  Review/swatches
    coming soon!

6. Shiro Cosmetics Master Sword Eye Shadow ($1 for sample size)
Glittery pale taupe.  Looks like a blend of silver and gold, all in one.

7. Zuzu Luxe Mascara in Onyx ($16.70)
My go-to mascara.  I've talked about this many times before!

8. Silk Naturals Vegan Kisser Slicker in Figment ($4.75)
A beautiful plum shade that I think, sadly, has been discontinued, as I can't find it on
their website anymore.  Silk Naturals still has a TON of other beautiful colors though.

9. My Beauty Addiction Pretty Lil' Puckers Lip Cream in Buff ($5)
My new favorite glosses, these are moisturizing and super shiny.  Buff is pretty sheer, so
it works over almost any lip color.

And the GRAND TOTAL is $64.70.  Not too bad, especially considering these are all non-toxic and chemical free!

Now I'm curious, natural or not, how much does your face cost?  Leave a comment below or do the tag yourself.  Nosy girl is nosy and wants to know!

  2. Oh god, I have done this before and the price was frightening! I feel like if my face costs that much I should look a lot better, lol!!!

  3. I know what you mean...I was expecting mine to be higher too! I didn't realize this until I was actually writing the post, but other than mascara, my everyday face has gotten to be all small, indie brands, which does really keep the prices down!

  4. Holy smokes, I'm a little ashamed to admit the price of my face (Fortunately, 99% of it was sent for the purpose of my reviewing, so I didn't actually fork out the cash this time).

1)Vapour Beauty's Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation (just under my eyes)$48

2)Vapour Beauty's Stratus 903 Stratus Instant Skin Perfector (I'm hooked on this stuff and will be repurchasing; it evens my skin out beautifully without looking caked on or even like I'm wearing makeup. Since it's so pricy, though, I like to reserve it for the weekends only.)$44

3)Vapour Beauty's Mesmerize Eyeliner/Smoky Eye Tool:(trying desperately to find a cleaner replacement that works as well since this one contains phenoxyethanol and a couple of other questionable ingredients)$18

4)Vapour Beauty's Aura Multi-Use Blush in Charisma (It has a sparkly finish that I find lovely.) $28

5)Stark Skincare's Argan Lip Treatment (won this dreamy stuff in a giveaway!) $12

6)100% Pure's Fruit Pigmented Mascara in black tea (I've yet to find a natural mascara that I prefer to this stuff). $18.00

7)Sobe Botanicals Mayhem Cheek and Lip Color (I only use this stuff on my lips, and it's more of a weekend luxury as well since red lips aren't necessarily an everyday thing. I'm pretty sure you're the one who suggested this brand to me. :D) $7.99

If my calculations are correct, then that's a grand total of $175.99. YIKES I say!

  5. It could be worse, I'm sure :) I always read such great things about Vapour's products, but I've yet to try anything from them. I'll have to get on that at some point!

And I'm glad the Sobe was a hit. Funny, I only end up using mine on the lips too :)

  6. I think I don't wanna do this kind of post since I failed many on my make up(color, shade, coverage) after the non toxic transition, making it higher in expenses than I regularly did:/ However,I love your blog since currently I don't want to spend much on my cosmetics expenses alone,so whenever it's possible to find a good and affordable one,i'll try it 1st.Higher prices and brand will be only"at force":/.
Thanks to you,I plan to order on Lucy minerals. They sound so good!:)

  7. I'd love to read yours! I was surprised how affordable my routine ended up being...I have more expensive products too, but these are the ones I reach for most often.

Lucy Minerals is great! I love that you can order samples too :)
